Format Online (U.S.-based students) Limited in-person sessions (Long Beach, CA) 60 or 90-minute weekly sessions recommended for consistent progress 45 minute weekly or two 1 hour monthly also available. Background James is a US professor for U of West London (drama/music), Master of Music CSUF 1995, Bachelor of Music CSUF 1992, HMI 2016. James Spencer is also a published author/playwright and poet, and concert pianist/recording artist and published musicologist, with international recognition in performance and research. His work includes globally broadcast recordings and academic publications used in university-level study. nrollment Coaching is selective and by consultation. James is passionate about helping. He adjusted guidelines to fit my busy travel schedule. Our first session was very informative but, more than that, James set up a safe open environment that will allow me to get the most out of this creative field. Almost felt like having a therapy session with the right therapist.

Has great material to practice with as well as an established YouTube channel with tips on how to perfect the art of voice over/ acting. The general training and dialects course are decently priced as well. James is also honest in critique when it comes to the sound of the dialects/ expressions of voices through tones

I had some new original songs I wanted to do that required a different vocal styling and better tone quality. There were areas that I was not able to overcome I needed to learn many techniques to find the right exercises and other healthy habits to get the areas of the body we use to produce good sound in shape.

Process Initial Consultation A brief phone or video consultation to discuss your experience level, goals, and determine if this coaching is the right fit. First Session (60 minutes) A focused evaluation session conducted online or in-person (Long Beach, CA), where we assess your current level and begin targeted work. Enrollment & Materials Students accepted into ongoing coaching receive structured guidance and curated materials (scripts, exercises, and training resources) to support development.
