I had Ms. Miller for U.S. History for a year, and she definitely made the class very exciting. Instead of just reading the textbook, we got to play interactive games like Jeopardy to learn the material and work together on group projects. She is a great teacher, and I knew that I could always go to her for help if I needed it. Ms. Miller is also extremely nice, and she truly does love teaching.Nov 1, 2011
I worked with Shana as a TA when she was teaching at IHAD in East Palo Alto. She is one of the most inspiring teachers I have worked with... always coming up with engaging lesson plans and challenging students with a wide variety of proficiency levels. From games, quizzes, story telling to journal assignments she is a teacher who knows how to make learning fun and effective !!Jun 23, 2011
The variety of teaching methods Ms. Miller used allowed her students to interact as well as made the material more interesting and not repetitive or boring. She is passionate about history and connected with her students on a level that made learning much more engaging. I can honestly say that Ms. Miller's history class was one of the most enjoyable classes I have had in high school.Jun 23, 2011

I never liked history until I had Ms.Miller in high school. I looked forward to her class and style of teaching everyday. Her interactive and hands on approach to teaching truly made class enjoyable. I found myself creatively learning and remembering different aspects of history whenever I stepped into her classroom. Not only is she a great teacher but also is always positive and willing to go the extra effort.Jun 22, 2011
