I've been doing accounting for 30 years and I've seen just about everything. I'm a QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor and a tax preparer, and most of my work these days is helping established business owners get out of the messes they're in. Bad books, IRS problems, software that doesn't work for them anymore, or just no real structure at all. Once things are cleaned up, I stick around and run things like a fractional CFO so they never end up back in that spot again.

Who I'm Probably Not For
I'll be straight with you. If you're hunting for the cheapest hourly bookkeeper on Thumbtack, only need a couple hours of data entry, want free phone advice, or you're just price shopping, I'm not your person and I'd rather tell you that up front than waste your time. My work is scoped projects and retainers, not quick hourly calls.

I also take on paid consulting engagements for owners who need strategic help. Fractional CFO work, accounting system strategy, QuickBooks migrations, IRS planning, forensic reviews, internal controls, and turnaround help. It's scoped and paid, either a flat project fee or a monthly retainer. I don't do free calls or quick phone advice, so if that's what you're after a small-business helpline is a better fit.
How It Works
We start with a discovery conversation so I can figure out what's actually going on. Then I'll scope the work, lay out a plan, and give you a fixed or phased quote so there are no surprises. Most of my rescue and cleanup clients end up rolling into monthly accounting and / or CFO work once everything is straightened out.
One Thing to Know
I'm not a CPA. I'm a senior accountant, a QBO ProAdvisor, and a tax preparer, and for the work I do (bookkeeping rescue, forensic, QBO migrations, fractional CFO, consulting, and tax prep) you don't need a CPA. If your situation actually calls for audited statements or CPA attestation, I'll tell you straight out.
