I’ve been taking bass lessons for a few months with Roman and I came in with some very specific goals and he was able to tailor our lessons to what I am trying to accomplish. His knowledge of music theory is unreal and he is very enthusiastic about sharing what he knows and how it applies to what I’m trying to learn. I would highly recommend him to students of all levels

Details: Adult (18 years or older) • No formal training; some self-taught experience • No, the student cannot read music • Rock • Yes, the student has an instrument • 60 minutes • I travel to the bass guitar teacher

I had already been messing around on the guitar for a while, but decided to finally take the plunge and start taking bass lessons here in LA. Simply put, there is nothing that Roman can't do or teach on the bass guitar. Roman formulated a lesson plan centered around my own experience and goals as a musician, which increased my understanding of music as much as my ability to play. In taking music lessons from Roman, you not only get an incredibly knowledgable and experienced instructor, but you also get a funny, laid-back guy who is willing to jam along and offer insight into any musical piece you put in front of him. Roman is truly the total package, and I can't imagine taking music lessons from anyone else.

As a professional musician I'm always looking to expand my own skill set. Coming from a guitar background, the bass seemed like an easy transition but I found a lot of the techniques and stylistic approaches wildly different. Roman helped me find the common ground between the two while helping me edge up on the bass-ic vocabulary. My skills are definitively sharper, and the music I write for a living as an additional edge now that I can conceptualize bass guitar -- all thanks to the great support, learning environment, and teachings of Roman. He keeps it fun and exciting while pushing your abilities to their highest!
