I worked as a copy editor and as business and culture desk editor for 3 1/2 years at the JoongAng Daily, the local partner of the International Herald Tribune and the English edition of one of the country's largest newspapers. I have an intimate knowledge of Japanese culture, art, history, politics, and everyday life. Not only have I lived in Japan, but I have also coordinated, planned, and sold tours of Japan for groups of up to 35 Western tourists at a time.
