USC Thornton School of Music Graduate

I'm a professional guitarist here in Los Angeles, and I'm able to teach all styles in depth - rock, blues, country, jazz, funk, and r&b. I was a jazz guitar major at USC at the Thornton School of Music, and I lived in Nashville after graduation, where I made a living playing studio and live gigs. All of my students love taking from me, since I keep my lessons fun and productive. After my students show significant improvement, I encourage them to bring in songs that they want to learn, since the whole point in playing is to play what you're into. While I believe in teaching my students whatever they want to learn, I have a very broad repertoire of my own to teach them as well. I currently play studio and live sessions, compose for commercials, and am the Musical Director for a band with Elan Artists, a premiere nationwide booking agency. My current students range from six years old to sixty-five. My schedule is very flexible, so I'm usually able to work with my clients' schedules. Seeing my students improve, and being able to make money doing what I love. It's great to teach a student a song that they bring in, because I see the excitement in their face when they're learning it. Many times, my students tell stories of how they were able to play at a party, or in front of friends, and impress everybody, which is cool.
