Working with Kara was nothing short of amazing! I had recently purchased a loft in DTLA and was so nervous about how to arrange my furnishings for maximum usage and still be able to show off my style. Kara remedied all of this for me. We discussed style preferences and she truly nailed it. I ended up also going for a bathroom remodel so that the entire place felt cohesive. I am over the moon with my results! Kara is SUPER organized and her creativity is one of a kind. She's very prompt in communication and always professional yet still fun to work with. I'm considering hiring her for our office as well. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?My flat rate fee is always project based. After we meet at your project and do a walk-through together, I will provide my fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?The first step is a complimentary phone consultation to make sure we are a good fit for each other. I need to gain some basic knowledge about you, your project, your expectations, any deadlines and your budget. Then we move into meeting at your space. We do a walk-through together to go over what you would like to accomplish. After the contract is signed and a deposit is made, I dive into space planning and the conceptual design. I will deliver a design package laying out paint, wallpaper, fabrics, furniture selections and lighting options.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a graduate from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising with an Associate of Art in Interior Design.
