Introduction

We offer landscape design and installation specializing in lawn replacement with sustainable plants and/or CA native grass. Much attention is paid to the design details as well as the supervision of the installation. I enjoy sharing the information on plant varieties, the wide selection of native lawn alternatives, and the importance of saving water and returning it to the water table rather than to the bay. We use only natural weed and grass abatements, assuring safety to people and pets. There is much joy in creating the designs and seeing them come to fruition.

Sarah did an excellent job landscaping my front yard.We changed it from lawn to drought tolerant plants with a drip system. With her eye for design and her knowledge of plant she came up with a fantastic plan. I really enjoyed the process including going to the nursery with Sarah to pick out plants. She worked with my gardener on the installation but also has people she works with on a regular basis to do the installation while she makes sure everything is going according to plan. I highly recommend her.

We hired Sarah to landscape our front yard to a drought resistant environment. We met Sarah and she provided a drawing of the project which was spectacular. To say the least "she was hired". She met me at the nursery to pick out my plant choices and then finished the project quickly and in a very professional manner! See the photos for final confirmation. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a design fee for the initial plan which includes some revisions. I have a fee for supervising the installation. This includes the demo, grading, hardscape work (concrete, pavers, fences) and plant and irrigation installation.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free consultation on site. If we agree to proceed, I return with a preliminary plan which depicts the hardscape and planting and irrigation plans. From that point, there are revisions until a plan is finalized. I often take clients to the nursery if they are interested. After the plan is approved, installation begins.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the UCLA Extension Landscape Architecture program and continue courses on irrigation to stay current in methods and materials.
