- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to first meet in person so the pet isn’t as surprised when a stranger walks in to their home. It helps to warm the pet up to me, and if they met me while with their owner, they’re more apt to feel safe. I like to go over the pet’ routine, food schedule, any medication they may need and what you are wanting and looking for during the visit.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I’ve been a pet sitter since I was about 16! When my neighbors would go out of town and had to leave their dog, so I got the responsibility to walk them before and after school.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I’ve worked with all types of people and animals. From standard cats and dogs to bunnies to snakes and geckos.
