Dayne Farley Photography

Dayne Farley, a Los Angeles based photographer, was born in Baltimore, Maryland. His childhood home was an eclectic mix of languages, religions, customs, music and art. Visits to museums, galleries, concerts, exhibitions and travel were common fare. He found opportunity around every hiking trail with his father, gardening and reading with his mother, the peaceful calm of the mountain grandeur and the ferocity of the seashore. The diversity and perspective he gained through time, experience and opportunity would inspire him to pursue a life of creating art. When he first heard the guitar solo in Pink Floyd's Time, he immediately had to learn to play, and thus, began his music interests. Ultimately, he would excel at guitar and later attend Berklee College of Music where ironically in his spare time, he would teach himself how to make photographs. I often found myself walking the streets of Boston with a camera in my hand. I never really participated in the college parties and social gatherings. The energy of Boston captivated me and I preferred to wander aimlessly, meet amazing people, and shot as much as I could.- Dayne Farley Prior to his move from Boston, falling in love and acquiring a BM Degree, he had already achieved recognition as a professional photographer. But LA gave him a new venue and new access to high-profile clients, skilled artists, designers, actors, musicians, corporate professionals, performers and the aspiring everyday person. His work is featured in magazines, newspapers, galleries and billboards across the United States. His intellectual curiosity is vast and his attention to detail permeates his work. Nature and artifice, antiquity and modernity and harmony and juxtaposition are equally inspired by his love of nature and his love of the street. Dayne is currently living in West Hollywood and continuing to fulfill his artistic calling. He is accepting clients for headshots, portraits, portfolios or events.
