Introduction

I'm an award-winning singer and songwriter, but I LOVE to teach! My passion, more than anything else, is making sure that music is enjoyable and students gain a sense of confidence on their instrument. I do this by building strong, positive relationships with my students and tailoring my teaching to help them achieve their goals. I have 0 singing experience but Alexi’s been giving vocal lessons for almost a month now and so far they’ve been great! He’s attentive to where I need improvement and provides constructive feedback in real time while still remaining totally judge free and friendly. He really tailors the lesson to my interests, teaching me via songs that I like and helping me gain awareness for the subtleties of my pitch by answering my questions and clarifying notes. Would recommend!

My daughter Anne took the singing class from Alexi about 2 months ago. She really enjoy the lesson because Alexis is being patient & teaches her step by step on the preparation need to be done before start singing. Alexis is able to help Anne feel more confidence on singing.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a free 30min intro lesson to get to know each other and make sure I am a good fit for you!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In our intro lesson, I'll first ask a few questions to get to know a little more about you and your musical interests and goals. This will help shape our lessons and give me a better sense of what skills you'd like to develop. Then we'll spend a little time making music to give me a sense of where you are musically (including complete beginner!) and what we should start working on in our first official lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a music teacher in public, private and charter schools for the past 12 years and have been teaching private lessons off and on during that time as well. I have worked with a variety of ages (preschool, elementary, middle/high, college, and adult) and skill levels, although my focus is primarily beginner to intermediate. I have also been a professional musician during that time and am currently getting my Master's in Education.
