FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates are for individual private lessons, but I also offer group lessons at a discounted rate. Message me for more info!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m a classically trained singer with a BFA in Acting from Marymount Manhattan College and have worked extensively with voice and speech techniques, including Laban/Bartenieff, Linklater, and Fitzmaurice Voicework. I am also a certified teacher of the Heather Lyle Vocal Yoga Method, a series of yoga postures, pranayama breathing, Bel Canto singing exercises, and fascia release work designed to release and expand the voice.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been singing forever! I was a theatre nerd growing up, and am a working musician to this day. I’ve always had a fascination with how the voice and body work together, so when Heather Lyle introduced me to vocal yoga I knew right away it was something special. Combining stretching, breathing, humming, chanting, and all sorts of sounding helped me ground my voice and find resonance in surprising places! I watched the work transform my creative self expression and I believe it can do the same for others.
