Ian was incredibly helpful and very professional during our entire shoot for content. He brought all his gear, which was superb and of the utmost quality. Ian is well versed in bringing out the best in whoever he is shooting, and understanding the right vignettes and angles that are necessary to bring each location and shooting angles to life. I will definitely be using Ian for all other shoots I will be doing. His editing skills are also the greatest I've ever worked with. He was great at taking hours worth of footage and condensing it into the best pieces, as well as adding captions and post-production edits to the content we had. The finished product was well received by all of my peers, and Ian is your guy for everything related to photography/videography/ and video editing. Thanks again Ian!

Hired in for a small shoot, and it was such a great experience. He was fun, kind, punctual, and the work came out great. He’s a one stop shop. Definitely working with him again.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

It really depends on the project because some jobs require much less pre-production. If it’s something like BTS, then I make sure I know exactly what they plan to do with the footage, and that informs how I shoot and if I need to capture photos as well, etc. If it’s something like a pilot, we’ll talk through what they want, I’ll make the schedule, I’ll make a shot list, send it over for approval, and make sure they have everything for a smooth and successful shoot.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

At Hunter College I minored in film, and since then I’ve taken many online classes in cinematography, lighting, sound, editing with premiere pro on Udemy and Coursera.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

In my mid-twenties I was working in luxury fashion, but it honestly didn’t bring me joy. So while I was working I took acting and improv classes, then I quit my job and moved to LA to get into entertainment. After being in front of the camera, I realized I really wanted to create my own stuff, so that’s what got me into videography and editing. It turns out I love filming so much that I’m excited every time I go to a new set—to capture footage that impresses the client, to try new stuff, to problem solve—it’s a dream!
