Coastal Roots Landscaping & Plant Care

Have plants that need attention, a yard that’s gotten away from you, or a space you want to do more with? That’s where I come in. I’m Brendan, owner of Coastal Roots, with over 100 five-star reviews across Taskrabbit and Thumbtack. I know plants, have an eye for design, and handle both the planning and the hands-on work. I can help put a new space together or take care of the plants and gardens you already have. After building my business in Los Angeles, I’ve moved back to Central Pennsylvania. Based in Lykens, I serve Harrisburg, Hershey, Linglestown, Hummelstown, Camp Hill, Mechanicsburg, and surrounding communities. WHAT I CAN HELP WITH • Indoor plant design & setup — plant and planter selection, placement, delivery, and installation for homes, offices, and businesses. Everything is chosen around your style, available light, and maintenance needs. • Indoor & office plant care — watering, fertilizing, pruning, leaf cleaning, repotting, and checking for pests and other issues. One-time visits or regular care for a few plants or a full collection. • Plant Doctor house calls — figuring out why plants are struggling, addressing soil, watering, light, and placement issues, and leaving you with a written care plan. • Outdoor design & improvements — gardens, patios, porches, balconies, and yards. Plants, planters, privacy screening, furniture placement, and layouts that make better use of your space. • Planting & landscaping — garden-bed makeovers, shrubs, flowers, mulch, decorative stone, sod and turf projects, and irrigation troubleshooting. • Yard cleanups & restoration — overgrowth clearing, neglected beds, weeding, shrub trimming, small tree and shrub removal, hauling, and full yard resets. • Seasonal & ongoing garden care — regular maintenance, pruning, seasonal cleanups, and keeping your landscaping in good shape. You work with me directly. If you have several things that need doing, send the whole list—we can sort out priorities and agree on the work and price before starting. Browse my photos and project listings to see the range of my work. Send me a few photos, your location, and what you have in mind. You don’t need to have the whole project figured out before reaching out.
