FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Notarization fees are regulated by the state of California. Notaries cannot charge more than $15 per notarized signature. Travel fees are not regulated by the state and they are always negotiable.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs that I currently work on are real estate related packages. I review with the clients and notarize documents related to loan modifications, refinancing of their current home, or a purchase of a new or additional home.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always make sure that the Notary you hire is licensed, bonded, insured, and has had a background check. Be sure to have appropriate identification with you as it will be asked for. Acceptable forms of ID are driver's license, state ID card, passport, military ID, employee ID card issued by a city, county, or state agency of California.
