I haven’t taken singing lessons yet but her communication and explaining everything in detail was very good!Sep 21, 2019VerifiedSarabeth's Studio's reply
Thank you, Autumn! Please let me know when you are ready to take lessons.
I've been working with Sarabeth for a few months now, and I've already noticed improvements with my singing! It really helps to have an opera singer teach you classical technique. She really knows her technique. Since she actually works as a professional singer, she gives an excellent combination of practical and technical advice!Aug 16, 2019Sarabeth's Studio's reply
Thanks, Paul! You have been improving so much! A teacher can only do so much. The rest depends on the student and it is really paying off.
Sarabeth is a great teacher to work with, especially if you're looking for an expert in classical voice techniques. Whether you want to improve your singing casually or you are trying to freshen up your musical theatre audition song, she is the best in this area!!Apr 27, 2019Review from GoogleSarabeth's Studio's reply
Thank you for your kind words! You are a pleasure to teach!
I have been taking Skype lessons with Sarabeth for a month now and I'm really impressed by how much I have improved! I was hesitant about being trained by a classical singer but Sarabeth is very skilled and patient. She has been very supportive, which has also helped my confidence. I look forward to my lessons with her every week!Jun 21, 2019Review from GoogleSarabeth's Studio's reply
Thanks Heather! It also helps that you are such a great student and practice frequently!
I took lessons from Sarabeth to prepare for musical theater auditions. She was very knowledgeable (she is classically trained) so she really helped me with my vocal technique. She was very patient and helped me feel confident for my audition!May 16, 2019Review from GoogleSarabeth's Studio's reply
Thank you, Carolyn. I’m glad to hear that your audition went well!
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Some music schools require the student to pay for the whole month at a time. I ask that each lesson is paid at the end of each lesson. This allows students to schedule on a weekly basis or cancel if need be. There is a 24 hour cancelation policy, if the student wishes to cancel or reschedule. If has been less than 24 hours, the student may be charged for the lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The first lesson is a analysis of what the student would like to work on and what I believe needs to be worked on. Students will start the lesson with a warmup that engages vocal technique that will help improve the quality of the voice. After the warmups, the student I will go over the song of the student's choice, applying the technique to the song. Throughout the lesson the student will learn music theory and performance techniques.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I received my Bachelor of Arts from UCLA where I majored in Vocal Performance. Besides teaching, I perform professionally as a classical singer.
