I love teaching Japanese, both in person and via Zoom, to motivated students. With over 27 years in business, more than 2½ years of residency in Japan, a degree in Japanese Studies, and experience teaching at a junior college, I bring depth, clarity, and real-world perspective to every lesson. I work with individuals and small groups, tailoring each session to your goals and level. For those who are interested, I incorporate Japanese songs into lessons to make learning more memorable and fun. Beginners usually start with romaji (roman letters), focusing on conversation and sentence structure before moving on to hiragana, katakana, and beginning kanji.
