- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You want to find an instructor who is working on his/her craft and jobbing in the industry. Find a drum instructor that is well versed in the overall theory of music; not necessarily JUST on their particular instrument and that is comfortable playing in a variety of styles and professional situations i.e. studio, live, clubs, concerts, instruction, rock, jazz, Afro-Cuban etc.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
It takes a LOT of commitment and dedication to play music well. The amount of business acumen playing professionally takes, is also underestimated i.e. showing up on time, dealing with people with respect, booking various projects and lessons, equipment maintenance, time management etc.
