Introduction: What I love most about my job is meeting and connecting with women. As we begin to age, (I find that for myself as well), putting on makeup isn't as easy as it used to be. Our skin has changed making it difficult to know how or where to put everything. Some women give up which leaves them feeling frustrated. I'm able to sit down with them and give them a lesson helping them feel beautiful about themselves.

I have used Denise Van Arsdale-West for different make-up occasions (red carpet event, halloween costume and head shot picture) and each time she does a fantastic job. Her makeup skills are awesome! Her application is gently! And she is very pleasant makeup artist to work with on a regular basis. She has been in the business for many years, loves what she does and is knowledge on all levels of makeup and even skin care. I would and do recommend Denise to anyone that wants to feel beautiful!

What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of my work is done for special events such as a party, the holidays, a night on the town, for a guest speaker or even makeup for an awards show such as the Emmy's. Head shots are also a part of my work. I thoroughly enjoy teaching women step by step to do their makeup.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
First and foremost, make sure the provider listens to your needs. An experienced makeup artist takes their time talking to the client and discussing what they think is the best way to apply the makeup. The client usually knows what they want and it's up to the artist to collaborate on the final look. Make any changes necessary to make sure the client is happy with the end result.
