- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a professional beauty writer and beauty blogger, I get sent press releases and products frequently with the latest color trends, technology and innovations which keeps my product knowledge high. Also, I am naturally a beauty lover and passionate about products so I'm always researching and discovering new beauty ideas.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Since my childhood, I had a true admiration for beauty as I would religiously read my mom's Allure Magazine in awe of the luxury photo stories and makeup how to's in every issue. As I grew older my creative bug led me to makeup artistry, becoming a beauty writer and a major skin care enthusiast.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently I worked at a charity fashion show that was part of a kickoff series for LA Fashion Week in Downtown LA at LA Live. There were a few other artists but as I started working on my first and second model, I realized I was the only makeup artist with a line of models waiting to sit in my chair. It was very flattering!
