Let us start by saying that Dave is not only a great general contractor but is more importantly an old-school craftsman. We wanted to totally remodel our kitchen and interviewed a couple of contractors, including Dave. What impressed us most was amount of time, effort, and attention to detail that Dave put into our remodel BEFORE a contract was even presented and agreed upon. Dave met with us on three separate occasions before we formally agreed to engage his services, and each of those meetings lasted more than two hours. Dave's proposal for the remodel was 6 pages long and included every detail as what he would be doing and how he would proceed with the job. Dave covered every detail of his proposal with us and answered every one of our questions. The contract was also detailed and contained a payment schedule that was based upon him completing various stages of the remodel. We had no "buyer's remorse" after we signed that contract since it was clear to us that Dave would do an outstanding job on the remodel. Here are some very important facts for those of you who have had dealings with contractors: (a) Dave told us when the job would start, how long it would take to complete, and the times he would show up and wrap it up for the day. He was true to his word on all of his promises; (b) Dave and his assistant (Rick) do all of the work themselves - with the exception of the fabrication and installation of stone countertops - but don't worry because Dave's stone guy (Ciro) is also top notch. Dave and Rick do the tear out, plumbing, electrical, gas lines, cabinet installation, and the installation of appliances. Nothing is subbed out. And Dave was present for the entire remodel. And not only does Dave do the entire job, he does it with a care, attention to detail, and a precision that is often times lacking in today's contractors. Dave followed the plan he presented to us and the new kitchen unfolded before our eyes. (c) At the end of each day Dave and Rick cleaned up their work area with great care and stored their tools so that nothing was in our way. This was huge for us because we've seen other remodels where the entire house is an unlivable mess and disaster area. We couldn't recommend Dave more. He did the job with great care to quality and detail, he was friendly and approachable, and took the time to explain what he was doing so that there would be no surprises. Dave followed up on the smallest details and took care of everything so that when the kitchen was done it was beautiful and ready to use without any issues.

What a relief to find a general contractor who is such a professional. His work ethic is excellent, he is punctual and very tidy. Mr Guth has alot of past experience with construction and fabrication and has many good solutions to adjustments that always come up during remodeling. But he always respects the clients wishes and will do anything within his means to get the job done the right way. Price.....I would say very reasonable. You get what you pay for...with Mr. Guth you will not be having to redo or fix his work. I would highly recommend this fellow....and have used him several times and the piece of mind that the job will be done right is worth alot.

Dave Guth construction has done a number of different projects for me. He has built an outdoor basement entrance enclosure, installed outdoor lighting, and has done plumbing work in the bathroom. I was satisfied with all these projects and would recommend him highly.

David was an absolute pleasure to work with. From the beginning he was very clear on what we should expect. He helped us figure out what would be the best options for our project. He was always on time and the assistant he brought was equally attentive and qualified. Not only did he make suggestions but he was constantly looking for ways for us to save money or cut costs with the locksmith and other parts we purchased. David, thank you for your beautiful work! "My objective for each of my clients is to combine God-given skills, the old school training I received from my Dad and the new technology available today to bring your ideas and building needs to life. I have been a licensed contractor in California since 1981. The projects have been varied and include commercial interiors, additions, remodeling, restoration of vintage homes and recording studios. Through the years I have been grateful to all of those who have put their trust in me to help them with their building needs, content in the knowledge that Ive done my best.
