FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Details of shared and private lesson structures, fees, and discounts are talked about in detail when you come to a no-obligation, free introductory session. We are competitive, yet the results obtained in one year of Simply Music lessons far surpass the results typically obtained in three years of traditional lessons. The skills acquired are more quickly accessed, more deeply remembered, and more easily applied. What you get, penny for penny, is dramatic.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Potential students are invited to a no obligation free introductory session to learn how we're able to get the results we do: students are playing 8 to 10 great-sounding pieces in just their first two to three months as well as improvising and composing. You'll also take part in a demonstration (learn a piece of music) and have an opportunity to sign up. (Mention Thumbtack for a special discount.) From the beginning and throughout your tenure, homework is tailored to each student's level to maximize your ever-expanding musicianship.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Having been raised in a musical family I've been surrounded by music, playing, and learning almost ever since I can remember. I've also been teaching almost all of my life (as a big sister to four younger siblings as well as in public and private schools). As Conejo Valley's most experienced and only Simply Music Master Teacher, I strive to continually improve my skills as a musician and as a teacher through workshops, lessons, symposia, etc. It's a rewarding and never-ending journey.
