As a writer, marketer, and lifelong lover of the English language, I bring my own talent and considerable experience to the task of helping students find their unique voices in representing their stories. I have been working informally with students since 2007, more formally since 2023, to craft successful college and graduate school admissions essays with the goal of low stress and excellent writing.
My focus is to enable students to develop the skills in writing effectively for college and beyond. I take a holistic approach to the application, working on crafting the activities list and resume alongside the essays.

Working with Heta was truly one of the most impactful parts of my college application journey. She helped me craft my undergraduate essays, which ultimately led to my acceptance into multiple schools, including UC Berkeley, UCLA, and the University of Washington. Later, while I was at Berkeley, she also guided me through my Haas School of Business application essays.

Heta has an amazing talent of using few words to convey an idea or message. With the word limit aspect of college essays this is an important asset-to bring out the key attributes and character of the student in few words. She is also very effective in brainstorming with kids in a way that is productive, brings out their best and stimulates them to dig deeper. She invests time into getting to know her student so she can customize her advice for them. Our son's writing skills have improved tremendously with just working with Heta on his essay, PIQs and supplementals. She takes this job seriously and truly cares to help students to identify and portray their true authentic self in their writing. Besides essays, she emphasizes to the student to assess their actual impact within their activities list which is essential to distinguish oneself from other college applicants. She goes over and beyond by encouraging students to manage their time by starting early during the summer break when students are off school, uses a simple tracker and sets reasonable goals to get all essays done efficiently and early so when its crunch time there is no stress!
