Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I differ from many other gardeners, because I've studied horticulture for years. Different plants have different needs, and I know how to meet these needs and keep your plants healthy. Additionally, I see and understand pruning as an art, and the shrubs and small trees I care for turn into unique, attractive specimens you can be proud of. Furthermore, I'm passionate about plants and spend my time outside of work exploring new plant species to plant in my clients' yards. This means that when a plant needs to be replaced, you'll end up with something that is unfussy, healthy and visually stimulating. Of course I enjoy the simple pleasure of being outdoors! But just as important to me is the fostering of outdoor spaces for others to enjoy as much as I do. I accomplish this by using my talents and knowledge to select plants that will thrive and by focusing on the tasks in the garden that make the biggest impact.

We hired Nate to help with our garden—weeding, pruning, general clean-up. We've never had a gardener before, so weren't really sure what to expect, but he's amazing! He knew every plant in our yard, has given us great advice on how to make the most of what we've got and suggestions on what to add/lose. He's on-time, a hard worker, easy-going, and he really knows his stuff. Our garden has never looked better!

Nate is tremendously effective and really cares about the work. He knows about the plants and is careful in removal and trimming. He pays attention to what I'm saying!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

The amount of regular maintenance a garden requires varies drastically, and isn't based just on garden size. To give you have an idea of variability, one of my 1,600 sq. ft. gardens requires 2 hours/month, whereas a different one of the same size requires 7 hours/month. I charge $50/hr for my services. On average, for a medium sized yard, I work 4 hours/month, my services costing $200/month.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My services start with a free visit to give the client an estimate of monthly maintenance costs and discuss the client's visions and expectations. This meeting takes half an hour to an hour.
