Jeff Whiteaker

Introduction: I am an Oakland-based editor and writer. I spent the last few years in Bratislava, Slovakia as an assistant editor for an English-language newspaper called the Slovak Spectator, for which I edited what were often complicated and difficult new stories written by non-native English speakers and transformed them into clear, concise, coherent, "newsy" articles. I also edited articles for a range of the newspaper's supplemental publications, and wrote several articles for their yearly travel guide, Spectacular Slovakia. In addition, I edited copy for the paper's advertising clients. Now that I'm back in the US, I continue to offer my editing services for a broad range of content and publications.
