I wish I could pay $100 to yelp for a 10 star rating for Genesis. These guys are way above and beyond top notch. We have a 2200 sqft house with a gigantic vaulted section that is extremely difficult to heat and cool down. I have a two year old and a 4 week old and need to keep the house a pretty constant temp. My electric bills were getting over $500 a month. Solar was a must for us. I interviewed/ got quotes from/ met with 11 different companies (SolarCity, home depot, etc.) before I found Genesis. Day One- Josh Young was the guy I came in contact with when i first started working with Genesis. Super laid back, easy to talk to guy. No question was stupid or annoying for him. I told him what I needed and he went right to work. He took a look at my house on google maps and my electric bills all online. Within the first couple hours I had the exact numbers of our average usage and bill each month, how many panels I needed to put on my house, how many watts the panels would produce and the layout they proposed. Day two- I took some time to review everything and loved what I saw. I contacted Josh again and asked for the pricing options, paying cash up front vs. financing to own. He gave me all the numbers and explained their awesome financing options and showed me exactly how much I would be saving with my system. I'm personally looking at saving over %40 while using my AC more. Josh did not pressure me at all, just gave me the numbers and let me look at it all. I shot him several texts all throughout the day and well into the evening and he responded amazingly fast and in-depth. I committed to going with Genesis. Day three- I finished the paperwork all online and submitted everything. The owner of Genesis, Jesse Freund emailed me right away and let me know the process. He gave me a final project layout of how the panels would sit on my house and asked for my input. Told me why they were played out the way they were. He gave me a time frame for the start of my project and how many days the project would take. He gave me his cell phone and said he was available if I needed anything. Day five- Mike came out to measure our roof. Talk about an awesome guy, this dude was cool. Super easy to talk to and explained everything. Most professional, friendly, down to earth guy I've ever had come to our house. He showed me where the panels were going to be and how they would run the wiring. He got on the roof, did his thing and was done in under 30 minutes. Came back down and talked with the wife and I about our project and then left. My wife said the same thing, he was awesome and totally comfortable with him working on our house. Project start date- Two weeks from day one- Mike showed up with another guy, Nick (maybe?) and they started on our project. They were right on time and even shot me a text the night before to remind me they were coming. They were up on the roof in the blistering heat all day. They laid everything out and did a killer job laying all the weather/ rain protection, and put the hardware in. I could hear them laughing and having a good time. Not a single swear rude or crude joke. Super awesome. Project day two- Solar panels arrived first thing in the morning. Mike and the guys showed up on time and started on the roof. My wife was home alone and felt comfortable and safe with all the workers. They went to work and started running the conduit and more install. Project day three- Same thing, on time and super down to earth and professional. They finished installing all the panels, wired everything, color matched and painted all the conduit and got the job all wrapped up and clean. The install looks amazing. You can't really see the panels, and definitely can't see the conduit. Project day four- Mike came to house for the SDGE inspection. Passed with flying colors. Mike installed the EnLighten system which allows us to remotely monitor our production and if anything is going wrong with the panels. Genesis will be notified of any issues with our system and come take care of everything. One week later- SDGE approves our solar and I get to run the panels. In all, our panels are amazing, we are over producing what Genesis projected. Install was amazing, everyone was professional, best company I've ever worked with. I can not say enough about all these guys. USE THEM!

Truly an exceptional contractor. Honest, friendly, informed, courteous, hard-working, and the list could go on. We originally reached out to Jesse with Genesis CA maybe two years ago to inquire about solar. We had tons of questions and he really broke down our options both on the system and the financing side of things. He was not pushy at all and was very patient during our extended mulling over period ;-) Genesis CA installed two solar systems for us. The first was on our home in Vista, CA and the other on our industrial building that is on a commercial meter. The crew installed both as scheduled (actually a little ahead of schedule) and really paid attention to details. They did not merely slap panels on the roof and move on. They are placed in such a way that they maximize production and are visually appealing. All conduit and other components are discrete and blend with our home design, which was important to us. We really are pleased with both solar systems and the crew that installed them.
