Solid General Construction is a small company that accepts medium to large residential projects. We are a team of brothers who's goal is to get your construction or remodeling project done quickly and professionally. We keep a tight schedule and a high standard. We can assist you with room additions, accessory dwelling units and custom homes. During the winter months we also accept home repairs and alterations like dry rot , water damage and siding or accomplishing new visions on older homes. Building things with family and earning a solid living, SGC thinks that's a great way to live.

We had an unfortunate accident when a car went through our garage door, leaving our valuables inside vulnerable. We ran into a very tricky situation, since we store a boat in our garage and the new and standard "roll-up" type garage doors could not be installed. We needed to rebuild the old door so I contacted several companies, and felt most confident in Solid General to rebuild the door after a recommendation I read online.
I have never had a smoother more worry free experience when dealing with contractors before. Nick B. and his team arrived early and ready to work. They had a clear plan they explained to me clearly and I felt confident they could get the job done. They began work right away, showed me any changes of plans as they came along and explained them thoroughly and completely...no surprises!
The construction went smooth and without any major problems. All of the workers were beyond professional and polite. Even our neighbors (whom we are good friends with) commented on their friendliness and grabbed business cards from Nick and Solid Construction. They were so pleasant and worked so hard throughout the day without breaking that my fiance and myself even went and bought the whole crew dinner. Well worth it for the good work.
The door was put back together before nightfall, and they continued detail work into the dusk, refusing to finish until the job was perfect. I was happy because I didn't want to come home from work a 2nd day! MUCH appreciated.
Our garage door is now twice as sturdy as it was before, in a way it was a blessing that the old door was destroyed, we got an upgrade and feel safer about our valuables in the garage.
I was so impressed with the work, that I had Nick take a look at our deck in the backyard that is starting to show signs of rot. He quickly showed me how he would go about fixing it and provided me a quote once he had all his info before the other job was even finished. We hired them to fix our deck as well and can't wait to have them back. We will surely be buying them dinner again and look forward to them helping with our home remodel (bathroom, kitchen) in the future.

This was the first time we have purchased a home that needed a "face lift", being a foreclosure we weren't really sure where to start.
After a very informative initial meeting to discuss the best way to get "more bang" for the buck, we signed a contract and the renovations began. Nick Bossio & his team created a very beautiful "open concept" kitchen/family room area. the ceiling was floated, 7 can lights with dimmers were installed, granite counter tops were installed along with a granite composite sink. The back splash really made the difference between standard every day & outstanding. Nick went the extra mile to design a beautiful glass subway tile wall including complete tile around the kitchen sink which overlooks the pool in the backyard. The laminate floors turned out amazing, we chose a beautiful "hand scraped" chestnut brown that is durable and classic.
I recommend Solid General Construction for any job big or small, his team is professional, friendly and seems to really care that the homeowner is satisfied, and above all shows great pride in his workmanship.

I am beyond pleased with Solid General Construction. We hired them to reface/remodel our corner wall fireplace area (a fairly large area in our living room). I had called other construction companies, along with SGC, when initially trying to get estimates for the job. SGC was one of the only companies where someone actually answered the phone when I called. Nick was very courteous, professional, and accommodating at the time of the estimate. He shared his creative vision for the area, with emphasis on tying the design of the new wall area to the style of the rest of our home. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, other than to make the area simple and beautiful. It was refreshing and impressive to have someone (Nick) step in with ideas (because I wasn't really sure what I wanted). His assessment of our goals and wishes, in combination with his creative vision and skill, made our decision easy. We scheduled the job once the estimate came through, and work started shortly after. Nick and Zach worked on the project from start to finish. Both of them are professional, prompt, courteous, and very skilled. Throughout the process, they sought input, listened to my thoughts, and exceeded my expectations around every corner. They designed and built the top portion of our wall, designed and built a mantel frame for the fireplace, and tiled the area around the fireplace and bench areas. Their tile work was absolutely beautiful. It is even, symmetric, and just beautifully designed. The wall and mantel portion is beautiful as well. It is very clear that they take immense pride in their work - and work hard to provide a quality product. This experience was better than I could have imagined. The finished product is beyond what I had envisioned. I would highly recommend Solid General Construction.

From the first time I met with Nick Bossio of Solid General Construction , I felt that my wife and I were in good hands. He was patient, personable, and knowledgeable; his price was fair. To say that my intuition proved to be correct would be an understatement. Nick, his brother Zack, and other employee Jesse did outstanding work in removing the old siding from the front of our home, installing new Hardee cement fiber siding and new trim, painting the new installation, and hooking up new exterior lighting. They arrived promptly each morning during the promised period when there was no rain, and finished the job on time. They added extra touches, such as caulking every conceivable nook and cranny, installing metal flashing at the top of the horizontal trim, and affixing routered wooden mounts for our exterior lighting. The resulting curb appeal of our home is remarkable. The finished job exceeded our expectations. Nick and his crew are masters at their craft. It was a pleasure to welcome them to our home, and a great experience to have them do our work. We recommend them to anyone needing siding installation or any kind of home improvement or remodeling project.
