My name is Brandon King and I’m the artist and owner behind Theotus Media. I provide several different photography services such as event, portrait, sports and lifestyle to the greater Southern California area, primarily in Ventura and Los Angeles counties. I am also available for travel work.
I have a BA in digital media and have been dedicated to perfecting my craft since starting my business in 2017.
My goal behind the camera is not only to create timeless, eye-catching photos, but to make sure that every client feels comfortable and has a fun, enjoyable time during their sessions. I am a true creative and It’s my passion to help you create and capture moments to last a lifetime!

Brandon is The one photographer that I have been looking for years. I had a my first photo shoot with him two weeks ago, and it was amazing. First he was already there waiting to start, he has this spirit that make you at ease and comfortable in front of the camera , he is very engaging all through out the session, even suggest poses and hype me about how well I was doing and it boosted even more confidence in me. From time to time he will show me how well the pictures looks from his camera and showed so much positivity about how well this picture will come out. Since then, I have gotten my pictures and I am in love with the outcome!! He did an excellent job, they look clear and Beautiful!! Brandon was a complete pleasure to work with! His charismatic and warm personality immediately makes you feel at ease and natural taking posed photos, which is something we had never done prior. He also took beautiful shots of a pre wedding puja as well as our rehearsal dinner and captured the energy & emotion of the events perfectly. We got our photos quicker than expected and Brandon was quick to make some edits I requested. His communication and professionalism can't be beat. Would give my highest recommendation!!!

Brandon captured the biggest moment of our (my fiancé and I) lives in a masterful way. He is personable, charming, creative and very punctual. We worked together to plan out the perfect place and time to capture me proposing to my now fiancé. He was very kind and was able to make this journey stress free. After capturing the moment, he took a bunch of shots of us and edited the photos making everything look vivid and stunning. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually take the time to find out what style of photos that the customer likes. We then figure out what exactly the customer needs the photos for. We then determine what type of style the customer can see themselves in by talking about potential locations. Following location discussions we get into details and specifics. Every single shoot is a full on collaborative effort that starts with a conversation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BA in Digital Media Arts.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I’ve had a passion for photography since the late “2000’s”, was gifted a camera in my preteen years. Purchased my first DSLR camera in 2014, after graduating from film school in 2015, I moved back home and began photographing everything I could. The beach, people, palm trees, any downtown area, etc. My love for the art continued to bloom. Got a little more serious about starting a business in 2017. And now here we are in 2022, and NOTHING brings me more peace then connecting with others through creating beautiful portrait work.
