I'm Yana — a documentary and fine-art photographer based on the coast in Pacifica, capturing authentic engagement, elopement, family, and maternity sessions across the San Francisco Bay Area.  I've been photographing couples and families across the world for over 10 years, with 100+ sessions behind the lens. My background is in fine-art and documentary photography — formal training that shows up in how I see light, composition, and the honest, unposed moments that create the real magic. Quick facts about me:  I’m so deep into the B&W world I actually have a dedicated monochrome camera. I grew up in one of the coldest places in the world. Any guesses? I jump out of perfectly functioning airplanes for fun. My mom recently recruited me into her crocheting cult, so I’m currently making a beanie. My husband is my best friend and I love him more than anything, even more than our sweetest cat. I’ve rewatched Friends approximately 500 gazillion times. I’m desperately afraid of snakes. If we see one during our session, you’re on your own (I’ll probably be halfway up a tree). Making pictures makes me real happy:)
