My “Quantum Singing Method” teaches the student to manifest new singing concepts through creative visualization. It is a speech level singing technique and works equally well for all genres of singing. The “quantum” principal has proven that molecules come into existence based on our thoughts! We manifest correct vocal principals through visualization, speedIng up the process of singing with ease, power and stamina!
My students range from musical theater to folk, rock and classical.I also specialize in vocal damage repair and damage prevention. I am passionate about teaching and developing voices and my students are singing professionally, as well as semi professionally as soloists and for their own pleasure And in choirs.
The breath support technique, I teach cuts down the time it normally takes to learn singing to a fraction and protects the voice from vocal damage, hoarseness and straining. The “magical breath” creates the effortless and beautiful sound.
It is very satisfying to see singers improving quickly and having the tools necessary to make that happen. I am working using Zoom at this time during Covid and am surprised at how well it is working even long distance. This was my first singinglesson, and Marla really made me feel at ease. I learned so much just from my first lesson, and Marla was so wonderful to work with! I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to improve on their singing, she got me to sing notes that I didn't even know I could. Great experience!

I had an excellent experience with Marla. I was nervous about an upcoming solo performance and hadn't sung publically in awhile. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I give a $10 reduction for the first month of lessons:
$65 instead of the normal $75 lessons
The first lesson I gift the student an extra 15 minutes and give an hour instead of the usual 45 minutes.
After the first month, students who join the studio pay for the month of lessons in advance on the first lesson of the month and if they take 4 lessons, get a $10 reduction.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It depends on many factors.I begin with proper breathing and use of the exhale, and show how to connect to the diaphragm. Then I find the vowel that works best for each customer and begin various exercises that connect the sound to the breath.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
One never stops studying in the music field. I had many teachers, and finally found the great one. Now, I put together the best of all of them and try to be in the moment with each student to deal with each specific need.I have a MB from the New England conservatory, and MM from the Mozarteum in Salzberg and a MFA from Indianna University, Bloomington, but I did not find my technique in any of these famous schools. I coached with some of the most famous teachers in the world and took the best from several great techniques.
