About
As both a Certified Dog Trainer and an Associate Certified Dog Behavior Consultant I offer my clients the most up to date methods, years of experience, and a thorough understanding and application of dog behavior, body language, and learning. We educate owners on the whys and then show how to correct the behavior. Our goal is to prevent dogs from ending up in the shelter and increase the number of happy successful adoptions across the valley. I use only scientifically proven, humane, and the most successful methods. I take between 32 and 40 continuing education units each year. I am a member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) and The Pet Professionals Guild (PPG). I am also an AKC certified Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Community Canine, and Urban Canine Evaluator & Trainer. I am also an evaluator for Therapy Pets Unlimited. I have been Training in obedience and sports and providing Behavior Adjustment Training for over 15 years in the Coachella Valley. I have been providing county mandated dangerous and aggressive dog training for the past 6 years. As a veterinary technician I teach a CPR & First Aid course for dog and cat owners, as well as a dog and child safety program for multiple daycare's and local schools throughout the valley. I obtained my higher education degrees in Education and my Paralegal Certificate. I earned my dog training and behavior certifications alongside my higher learning so I fully understand the ins and outs of not just training dogs, but helping people to train and understand their dogs, and teaching children safety around their dogs. We have many wonderful trainers in our area but I like to think that I provide a wholistic approach to dog training and behavior that does not just focus on the dogs behavior but also the needs of the family. Going into a home where people are at their wits end with their dogs behavior. I love getting to help them understand their dog and why they are doing things as well as teach them how to correct and replace the negative behaviors with positive ones. I thoroughly enjoy the ability to teach a family and their dog to have fun with training while reaping the positive benefits of their work.

I reviewed multiple estimates and respinses and while I found most to be very polite and helpful. I found one who wouldnt answer my questions, commented about punishing my dog physically or with a pinch harness or electric shock collar (my veterinarian said this was an awful choice) and was so arrogant in her statements that she was the only qualified trainer and behavior expert in my area. She was very rude. So bye went her quote and I really do hope more people actually read her info and realize that this person is sounding nice to cover the mean and uneducated way she speaks to others. While the 3 people left were all wonderful, helpful, and positively reinforced. I was able to speak with all of them and wish I could leave all reviews but tabitha gave me tips that helped right away and I spoke to her references and even went to observe a group class. I feel so confident in what I have learned already I can not wait to watch my agressive girl progess. Tabitha was also one of 2 closest to me. The otherone not being someone I would want near my dog. This one was the clear choice. Other local numbers I called yielded no results including the lady on Craigslist who says she's been cesar since before Cesar millian was a thing.

Details: 1 dog • 2 - 10 years old • Extra large (70+ lbs) • Aggressive behavior modification • Leash pulling • Barking • Biting • Board and train programs at a facility • I travel to the dog trainer • The dog trainer travels to me

I spoke with several trainers. Many used words I did not understand and had to Google. I have a masters degree in business but that doesnt mean I understand technical jargen. Not only did ms.davies provide explanations that were easy to understand she also explained some of the things I didnt understand from other trainers and if she applies those methods or principles in her training and why. She gave me some advice to try with my dog before our first session which is in 3 days and my godness it has already majorly helped us all out. So very excited Mylie and I are to meet you and futher go down this path to a well behaved puppy.

Tabitha, is the best! Her methods are helpful and easy and make your connection and bond grow with your fur baby. Tabitha is also one of the few people I trust to watch my fur babies when I'm forced to leave them. If you need a fun and great trainer then get Tabitha!
