Introduction: Because you need a teacher who gets excited about watching students grow and can keep students motivated to learn. The student and family members deserve to feel comfortable in both the studio and the waiting room. Parents are always welcome to sit in on lessons. The studio is in a safe neighborhood and has a great waiting room for parents, siblings, grandmas, grandpas, nannies, etc. What I enjoy is seeing students grow in their ability to play and express themselves musically. I get to see students laugh and smile all day long and that is a great job to have. I love my job!!!

Drumming with Sheri is the highlight of every week. Stepping into her studio is like entering a magical wonderland of good music and student snacks lit by the sunshine she exudes. I have never felt as if I were in a "class" or a "lesson"--Sheri is a thoughtful and patient teacher with clever ways to guide students through tough material, and learning with her has never been anything less than a total blast. She has helped me transform from knowing nothing about music into an awesome drummer, who will be attending drum camp in the summer and joining the school band this fall. I'm so happy to have discovered a passion in drumming, and plan on rocking on for a long time to come.

Mrs. Luevano was my marching band teacher and mentor for my 7th and 8th grade years. During that course of time, I not only grew as musician, but also as a person. Having her as a teacher taught me things like how to always be positive, how to implement a servant leadership style, and the importance and support one can gain through teamwork and honest effort. Since being under her instruction, I have yet to see a team work together as seamlessly and as enthusiastically as ours did. Although I have not continued in music, her teaching through example has stuck with me to this day, and I would list her as one of the top most positive influences on me in my middle-school years. Mrs. Luevano always put the interests of her students before her own. She worked hard to find music that was both fun to play and challenging to our various levels of expertise, and was super patient towards those whom music did not come as naturally as it does others (me). It goes without saying that she has steadfast dedication towards her students, and will do everything she can to pass on her extensive knowledge of music. Her passion for music and teaching come together in a beautiful and rare combination, making learning how to play any instrument fun and engaging. To anyone even remotely interested in learning how to play an instrument, I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$50.00 for 30 minutes $70.00 for 45 minutes $95.00 for 1 hour Sibling discount: two 30 min lessons for $95 One hour into lesson for $50
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically do an introductory lesson that is 45-60 minutes. Most of that time is a lesson tailored to the level of the student, and the last few minutes is spent discussing studio policy, including how to log into their student portal on the website, how to book studio practice time and methods of payment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's degree in music education and I often attend conferences geared toward music educators. I have been in bands for many years and I like to pass along the things I have learned through my experiences performing.
