Cal Floors is a family-owned licensed, bonded and insured flooring services company located in the North Bay. We've been working on Bay Area floors since 1984. I'm a Bay Area native and a third-generation flooring craftsman — my grandfather and father were both in the trade, I started working alongside my dad on hardwood floors when I was ten. Flooring is in my family's blood, and today I run a skilled crew that can take on the big jobs — while still giving a smaller sized project the same care and attention. Experience counts in this work, and I don't say that lightly. It takes years to become the kind of tradesman who can walk onto any job — a new hardwood or vinyl install, a full refinish, a tricky repair, a custom border or inlay — and know how to do it right the first time. I've been called in plenty of times over the years to fix floors a less-experienced installer got wrong, and that's an expensive mistake for a homeowner. So even if you don't hire me, my honest advice is to hire someone who's licensed and genuinely been doing this for decades. Because I run a full crew, we can handle the large square-footage jobs a solo installer can't — whole-home installs and refinishes, big residential floors, commercial spaces — and get them done on schedule without cutting corners. We take on everything from a few rooms up to an entire home or commercial project, bringing the right-sized crew for the work so you get the manpower the job actually needs and fair pricing to match — with me personally overseeing it from start to finish. To me, a good floor is closer to art than to a trade. There's nothing I enjoy more than bringing a tired old hardwood floor back to life, or laying a beautiful new hardwood or luxury vinyl floor and watching a client see it finished for the first time.
