- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing will depend on the piece that is being designed. This is determined by intricacy of the piece, type of metal the piece will be made in, and estimated design and completion time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I work with the customer initially through email or phone (sometimes text message if they choose) to get a feel for the type of work they are looking for. Sometimes they have reference images which help give me a jumping off point for their design. Many times I make a mock up of their design in copper beforehand to be approved before the final piece is started.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in the jewelry industry since 2009, but have been creating jewelry since I was a little girl. This summer of 2016 I will begin taking courses at GIA, the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad.
