Hired based on prior reviews & initial consult. Couldn’t be more thrilled and highly recommend. Hired to do a ‘fall yard prep’ - involved planting a few shrubs, pruning some, planting couple of trees, fixing some irrigation/drip challenges. Of note: 1) Fair & competitive pricing 2) Amazing understanding of gardening - he was able to diagnose problems / issues across numerous plants - many others missed 3) attention to detail - didn’t miss a branch & did great job cleaning up Highly recommend & i’ll be calling Erick again for any yard projects

New Mountain Tree Service, Eric Melgar was hired to design a continuous garden to be placed in the plant beds that surround my condominium patio. Erick Melgar (owner) and I went on a shopping trip where we picked out the plants to be used in this garden; while shopping I was impressed on how knowledgeable Erick is about plants. Erick designed the new layout of the plants in the plant beds, carefully putting plants in a spot that would meet their sunlight/shade requirements. The plants were evenly placed around the patio, and the garden itself looked exceptionally beautiful. Erick is very tidy and ensured that all of the dirt, leaves, old garden debris was cleaned up. Erick checked the existing water drip system to make sure that it was functioning properly. Erick patiently taught me how to use the water drip system. Thus far a lot of people have complimented my new garden. In closing Erick provided excellent customer service, showed extreme knowledge of plants, has an eye for designing gardens that best suit the landscape of the yard. Also, Erick had great professionalism, and was very responsive, always communicating back via text in a timely manner. I would high recommend Eric Melgar, New Mountain Tree Service.

Erick and his large crew spent 3 full days at my home pruning and removing many trees including palms, oaks, redwoods, cedars and they also removed a large gnarly mass of overgrown agave plants and trimmed a lot of ivy. It was a huge job. They worked hard, were very conscientious, on time, good communications and patient with all my add ons. Erick was very knowledgeable about the trees, had a good eye, and made valuable recommendations. I couldn’t be happier. He was respectful and left my property vastly improved and his prices were very good.

100% will be working with Erick and New Mountain Tree Service again in the future. We had them come for a mulching/ground cover project. Erick was very knowledgeable about what materials to use where, and recommended where to get the best quality supplies at affordable prices. Erick and his team worked efficiently to complete the project and we were thrilled with the end result. He is also very detail oriented and made small fixes to our irrigation and drainage system that he noticed, as well as cleaned all areas thoroughly at the completion of the project. I look forward to working with him again in the future and highly recommend him and his team!
