About Me: Since 2005, I have helped students transform academic struggles into mastery. Having personally faced challenges with math during my own school years, I understand the frustration of feeling stuck. My tutors patiently helped me unlock difficult concepts, and that experience inspired me to give back. I now dedicate my career to helping students build confidence, overcome anxiety, and achieve measurable academic success. Subjects Offered: Mathematics: Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, GED Prep, and ASVAB Prep. Accounting: Introductory Financial Accounting (Levels I & II) and Intermediate Accounting I. Experience & Background: I discovered my passion for teaching during my junior year of high school when my Pre-Calculus teacher recommended me as a peer tutor. Seeing my students succeed motivated me to continue tutoring through college with the San Bernardino County Library System. After earning my Master’s degree, I expanded my expertise to include financial accounting in July 2017. I have extensive experience delivering impactful instruction through both in-person sessions and top online platforms. Teaching Philosophy & Method: No two students learn the same way. I customize my approach based on an initial assessment of each student's history with the subject: For Struggling Students: We pause to revisit foundational concepts. I ensure past gaps are filled before introducing advanced material. For Advanced Students: If a student just needs help with a single new concept, we focus on the underlying logic, methodology, and practical rationale. Skill Retention: I assign targeted reinforcement exercises after lessons to cement understanding through practice.
