About
Hello! My name is Scott Strickland. I have been playing the guitar my entire life and have been teaching guitar for over 3 years. I provide one on one guitar lessons that drive to you. I teach electric, acoustic, and music theory. My main focus in teaching, is to have my students learn how to play and understand the guitar. Instead of teaching song after song for years, I also teach how to apply music theory. Allowing my students to become musicians, create their own music, and know how to apply theory to any instrument they decide to play. With my lessons you will be learning the whole big picture. How to play the instrument and understand how to harmonize music, taught in the most simple way possible. I love teaching one on one lessons so I can focus on the individuals needs. Wherever you are on your guitar journey, I would love to teach you how to grow as a guitar player and musician.

So far in my lessons with Scott he has been able to teach me more than I actually thought to be a realistic goal. That confidence has really pushed me through to follow up with finally learning to play the guitar and read music and Scotts patience and overall knowledge has been key.

Scott is an amazing teacher. He is so patient and accommodating. It is amazing how he makes music so easy to comprehend. I am looking forward to many lessons with him. If you want to really learn to play that guitar, hire Scott.
