Sarah is an absolutely amazing vocal coach! She is very skilled in assessing your voice and letting you know how you can improve as well as encouraging what you are doing right. She is able to give not only the basics in vocal training, but also advanced technique and mastery in performance. She does not try to mold you into a particular style or bent, but she takes each person where he or she wants and needs to go vocally to sound the best. She has a solution for each problem that presents itself in one’s vocal journey. In the three years I have studied with her, I have improved so much, and I am constantly impressed with the information she shares at each lesson. Her knowledge base is vast and very insightful. She has helped me to develop a vibrato, which is something I had always admired in others but had never possessed. She has also given me instruction in how to sing in different styles, forward vs. back, nasal vs. non-nasal, breathing, lower core support, diaphragm support, blending the lower range into the higher range, strengthening the larynx for a stronger voice, removing muscle tension in shoulders, back, jaw, and tongue, pitch control and correction, tone quality, open throat, awakening multiple resonating chambers, and many other issues. She has encouraged creativity by allowing me to personalize and stylize, which has been very helpful for me to really connect emotionally with each song. I have grown to absolutely love singing, and more importantly, I really love what I can do with my voice now. I really look forward to my voice lesson each week! Even if you have had many years of vocal instruction or are already an established vocalist, I would highly recommend at least six months with her to glean what you can to improve your voice or your performance. You will definitely not be disappointed!

Sarah is an amazing vocal coach!! She always knows what to say to make me "get" her instruction. She's funny and a lot of fun, but she's also an outstanding performer and serious about her work. My voice has grown a lot since I started taking lessons from her, and I'm excited to see how it will continue to grow! I can't think of anyone better equipped to instruct aspiring vocal performers.

Sarah Ayotte is a wonderful voice teacher. She is experienced, knowledgeable and extremely competent, while also being flexible and compassionate. Sarah has taught my whole family, and we have found that she does a great job of tailoring her instruction to each student, encouraging and challenging us to enjoy the process and our individual gifts. Sarah Ayotte is a talented professional who provides a safe environment to explore, develop and grow a sound unique to the person. FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My Terms are $30 for weekly half hour sessions, or $60 for bi-weekly hour sessions. Students commit to one month at a time, and payment is due at the first session of the month. Please note: There are no refunds. Conflicts can be discussed before the first session of the month, and makeup sessions can be discussed on a case by case basis.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our first session is always a discussion about discovering where each student is coming from, where they want to go, and what I can do to help them get there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over a decade of directing and coaching experience, going hand in hand with my 20+ years of performance experience and collegiate level vocal, performance, and directing training.
