My name is Leo Moneymaker and I am a Polish-American, Los Angeles-based, photographer and videographer. I live for aesthetic. Too many good stories are never given the production quality they deserve, and I am here to fix that. As a soon-to-be graduate of CSUN's Multimedia Production Department, I've spent the last four years exploring how sound and light and move us through a story. Leo did an amazing job putting together a snapshot documentary for me. His ability to compile video into a compelling story and execute on a vision is spectacular. You can check out the work he did on the snapshot documentary here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dU2mlYyBHtc The only reason for giving him 4 stars instead of 5 is from a separate project request. I asked Leo if he'd be able to put together a video of family and friends congratulating my close home town friend and his fiance on getting married. He decided to take a creative approach by putting together videos in a way to tell a story, cutting videos which were either low quality or problematic for some unknown reason. Unfortunately, the result was not presentable as I was looking for a compilation of everyone--regardless of quality--as the sentimental value from seeing friends and family outweighed the value from a well-crafted video. Nevertheless, some of this may have been the result of poor communication on my part. Overall, I would definitely hire Leo again. He is very talented at what he does. The biggest learning from my experience is to communicate your vision very clearly when working with him. As long as that requirement is met, you should love what he's able to produce for you.

It was jackpot. He actually wanted to understand my vision first and worked with me on what was actually the process to get there and how we could bring it to a better and more professional level. He explained how and why certain details would contribute to the results and at the end he delivered a very organized package of content ready to be utilized throughout a set media/marketing schedule rather than just sending me a bulk of finished material with no artistic or logical marketing order. Definitely going to use him for my next project.

Leo worked with the dance company I am a part of (Re:borN Dance Interactive) on a virtual reality documentary of our latest work “OMNISCOPIC”. He was very professional, prompt, and responsive and was great with working with all of the dancers and company director. He got the documentary done in a timely fashion, and the final product came out beautifully. Leo was always on time and willing to help with the set up and tear down of each shoot he attended. He even helped with additional videography work which was outside of his set expectation. I would definitely recommend him & look forward to working with him again!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing varies depending on the service, but I strive to deliver twice as much value as I'm being paid for.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I like to speak with the new customer over the phone to make sure I understand their vision. If the event calls for it, I will ask to meet with the client in person prior to the event to walk through the production plan. I then begin to arrange for the production, renting any additional equipment and hiring an assistant if needed. Once the content with captured, I include two revisions in my post production process to ensure that my customer if 100% satisfied with the final product.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I will be completing a B.F.A. in Multimedia Production from CSUN in December of 2019. I have also completed two years of training in the Film Program at Saddleback Community College.
