Katelyn is AWESOME. My fiancé and I had already booked our wedding photographer who are good friends of mine. However, they lived in another state at the time, so I looked to Thumbtack to see if we could find a vendor for our engagement photos. We loved her package, price point, and her work that we looked through prior, and decided to go with her. We were so pleased - she was so easy to work with and made our shoot so much FUN! Such a warm, bright, sincere personality. She really makes great use of the location and takes photos with a variety of backgrounds or places. We also got to do an outfit change, too. If we didn’t have a photographer for our wedding already, we would’ve hired her for sure!! The pictures came out amazing, and there are tons to choose from! Thank you, Katelyn - you rock!

It is so hard for me to start this review because our engagement session was amazing beyond words! I was so nervous to take these pictures and was dreading the awkwardness of kissing or being romantic infront of a photographer. I seriously cannot say enough how comfortable Kate made both of us feel. We were in our own world and she captured it! She laughed with us and was interested in who we are. Kate didnt care about a time frame during the session and we got our pictures within ten days! THEY ARE AMAZING. We cannot wait and feel so blessed to have Kate capture our soon to be favorite day!!

Kate is such a down to earth photographer. Spontaneous and willing to take risks to capture the most natural image.I've never felt so comfortable when taking pictures but she made us feel very comfortable which you can see in every picture captured. She is awesome at what she does. And I am so glad we chose her to do our engagement and wedding photos.

From the very first time I met her, I knew that she was going to capture all of the magic of my wedding. She went above an beyond with making sure we had great spots for photos, helped capture the special moments with my family and bridal party, and made my husband and I look like celebrities in our photos. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My couples should know that I do this for more than just money, I value my clients and they are SO important to me! But I would also hope my clients would understand that this is my job, not just a hobby and it's how I pay the bills, survive and provide them with the resources to make amazing photos!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to meet in person whenever we can! I value a connection that goes deeper than emails and screens - I want us to vibe and have fun together because that's how magic is made!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Thought I do not have a degree in this art, I have been photographing for the last 5 years - 3 of which have been devoted solely to weddings. Prior to doing weddings myself I was an intern with a wedding photographer from San Diego.
