Clifford Lamb is a knowledgeable and talented piano teacher. He is a very patient and knows how to communicate musical concepts to both adults like me and to my teenage sons -- we're all intermediate players. Clifford's teaching methods incorporate a nice balance of music theory and practical technique. Clifford is a working musician and wants his students to learn theory so they begin to "think" like musicians so they can play in any key and not be slaves to a particular arrangement in a particular key. Highly recommended for both adults and teenagers.
Kelly played for my mom's memorial, including accompanying a vocalist. He made extra time for a rehearsal, was punctual, helpful, and friendly. All that and a fantastic pianist able to play anything. I give him my highest recommendation!
Miles is a great teacher and musician. His patient work with me has helped my playing immensely, and he's always been incredibly patient and supportive. He's encouraged me to become a better piano player and to start writing songs of my own!
Amazing musician. We will hire agin for sure.
I had an excellent experience with Marla. I was nervous about an upcoming solo performance and hadn't sung publically in awhile. Marla quickly measured my ability and where I needed assistance and gave straight forward and incredibly helpful training and guidance. She certainly knows her stuff and is direct but friendly. I would highly recommend Marla for any voice lesson needs. Thanks Marla!
Micheal is a fantastic teacher. He has been giving music lessons to my boys for 3 years. He is very patient and makes music fun. He is a very talented musician
I have nothing but positive things to say about both Yaelisa and Jason and my experience with Caminos Flamencos. I have been taking flamenco guitar lessons with Jason for a bit over a year now. He is a master musician and his command of rhythm, technique, theory and harmony are second to none. Seriously, YouTube him and see for yourself! And just as important, he is a fantastic teacher. He really knows how to help you grow as a musician and reach your potential, and he cares about his students, so he's actually pushing you for your own good. Every session is a blast, always inspiring and I always come back improved from last time. I have also been accompanying some of Yaelisa's beginner / intermediate classes as a guitarist. The same values mentioned above for Jason apply to her as well (birds of a feather flock together!). She has amazing compás, and provides an incredibly solid foundation for her students, and for me, as a guitarist. She really cares about her students and it's been great to see students progress each week. I know my rhythm and ability to accompany has improved leaps and bounds thanks to her. I am getting an incredible foundation. Whether you're looking to begin your flamenco journey or take it to the next level, Yaelisa and Jason are your ticket!
Deborah is a truly special instructor. I came open to learn voice and piano, and I'm getting both and more. She really honed in on the work that I need: that in my head and heart. Through music, I'm learning how to dismantle the pride and fear that clouds (or prevents) my music-making. I feel so much more it touch with my inner musician, and free to let her fly. Deborah is easygoing and thoughtful, practical and resourceful. I highly recommend her.
Lessons with Jules are really fun...he has a lot of experience working with all genres of music and a super creative teaching style. As a professional musician, he gives really good advice when it comes to writing songs/performing/navigating the field of music. Everything is really clear and he is super nice!
Chris is a really good musician and teacher. Some musicians are so good they forget what it's like to 'not know'. Chris can be with you, where you're at even though he is a highly skilled player. His patience is very encouraging. It's inspiring to take lessons with him and to remember we all NEED music!
A skilled and multi-talented musician, composer, and arranger, Jeffery has collaborated with me on a number of projects including notating some of my own pieces. I was extremely happy with the quality of his work. Additionally, he was the band leader and composer-in-residence for San Franciscos beloved Pickle Family Circus and consistently wrote music of great charm and invention. Highly recommended.
I work with Paul on a regular basis, hiring him as a bassist for live performances and studio recording. He is very skilled on his instrument, he is always willing to work on songs and is very quick to pick up new material. He brings a lot to projects by way of his knowledge of various rhythm options and is a very patient and knowledgeable teacher in this regard. His work add a lot to the music we perform together. He is very professional about the work he does too. His replies are always super prompt, which is much appreciated when it comes to organizing music related jobs.
As one of his students, I highly recommend Scott as a piano teacher for any new or experienced musician who wishes to learn piano and have fun while doing it. Scott is a genuine people person who expresses joy when watching us grow each week, and he offers the formal education and experience as a professional musician to teach proper technique and theory. I feel lucky to have found him, and look forward to my next lesson!
Joe and J Silverheels were an awesome cover band! They tailored my wish list as requested and all four musicians had amazing talent. The energy was perfect as they engaged the audience throughout the performance. It was an intimate urban outdoor setting, they were able to adjust the sound level accordingly and brought some cool lighting to spice things up just that much more. The dance floor opened up quickly and it was a great synergy. I would not hesitate to recommend this band; especially if you want to mix in some quality jazz with a wide selection of rock and roll. Last but not least, they play a mean harmonica plus tenor and alto saxophones to boot!!
I've been recording with Michael Peterson at Harvest Moon Studios for several years. Michael is an excellent producer and sound engineer with a high quality studio set up. Michael is great to work with - he can work with all levels of musicians which is important to me as an amateur - he is very patient while constantly encouraging me, and always has positive, creative suggestions. Examples of the results of our recording sessions can be found at mikemetzger.bandcamp.com. I look forward to recording more songs at Harvest Moon Studios.
Jan's guitar was the perfect background to our evening. His style makes it easy to socialize without having to compete with the music. His easy jazz was so nice to listen to. At one point we asked him to turn up the volume a little because once inside our venue, he played softly and we wanted to hear the beautiful music.
Drew's music brings a party alive. He can be center stage with a band or background solo on his guitar. Great breadth of musical styles. Absolutely five stars.
Guitar music can be played almost anywhere. Events and venues that may not allow regular band music can still be enriched with the sound of music. The costs associated with guitar playing are minimal and can help stretch a tight budget. I can also compose and produce recordings of songs and musical score in my computer. This can be done in high quality and at a significantly reduced price to traditional recording/producing methods.
i am a solo artist i play numerous instruments and can give lessons to all interested
I don't really use music for business. I will, however, start it if I get hired. If I get hired, I'm kind of a beginner.
I am a professional musician and music director. I do salsa, Cuban music, jazz, classical, pop, etc. I am from Cuba and moved to San Francisco in 2014.
