Molding or baseboards,
This handyman installed an gate opener. The unit was faulty, but he kept on working with it and fixing the problems until it worked great. He also installed water to my ice maker in the house, and it works perfect. He also stretched carpet so it is no longer loose and it looks amazing. I highly recommend this handyman. I will certainly hire him for other things in the future.Feb 8, 2015Verified
Greg Durham, handyman, did some work for me recently. He ran some drip lines in my front yard. Repaired a pipe also. He doesn't charge a lot, however he seems to have some sort of disability as I had to ask for a receipt, he had much difficulty figuring out the hourly charges (he didn't have a calculator) and he is rather messy, both in his grooming and job performance. I did call him back to do some weeding in my yard. On the day he was to do the work he called me at the appointed hour (10:00 A M) said a current job he was doing was taking days longer and that he needed to cancel. I find it hard to believe that he couldn't have known, or calculated this much sooner than the appointed time. I would not recommend him for any handyman work.May 1, 2015Verified

Plumbing Drain Repair
Greg arrived on time the next day after contact and was able to fix a MAJOR underground leak on our property in under 2 hours. Dug up pipe, cut, capped, buried cleaned up at a very reasonable price. Excellent resource and a nice guy. Highly recommended handyman!Aug 20, 2014Verified
Summary of his work in one word: SLOPPY. I don't know what he is like as a handyman, but I hired him to do some wood work for me as he responded to my (Thumbtack) inquiry for a Carpenter. He came to my home to look at the scope of my project and provide a quote. He seemed to have a good understanding of what I wanted, how I wanted it, but also didn't provide many ideas of his own. He said in confidence that he could accomplish my project. He said he could do it. Now I realize, this project was above his ability, but he probably just needed the business and went along with it. Greg Durham was the second contractor I interviewed for this and his prices were more reasonable. He charges $25/hr + materials. That is a carpenter's rate, but I didn't get close to the quality of what I paid for. I guess I got what I paid for ultimately! Very disappointing. He did NOT come prepared with all the tools needed for the job. He stripped just about every screw he drilled. The screws were drilled unevenly, sideways, and unmeasured. He couldn't accurately find wall studs. The small shelves he built were all unleveled. When I pointed out the flaws he readily started to fix the mistakes, but I had to be there to help hold and measure and instruct. He didn't even use a level to double check his work. I pulled out my level because the shelves were crooked just from looking at them. Durham needed constant supervision on the project. To his credit he is a hard, diligent worker. He showed up on time and schedule, got right to the task, and stayed busy the whole time. He worked 8 hours which was way more than might have been necessary for a more experienced carpenter. In the end, I was really unhappy with the whole experience and disappointed that I chose Durham. Lesson learned for me. But if you want a CARPENTER, this business is not for you.Feb 16, 2015VerifiedDurham Handyman Service's reply
This socially dysfunctional woman with her alcoholic partner who seeked confrontation from the time I arrived, could never be satisfied.
I had a couple posts installed. Greg came out and dug the holes, plumbed the posts, and filled with concrete. He was courteous, and punctual, and did the job in under two hours. I would recommend him to friends who need similar work done.May 27, 2016Verified
