Lloyd did a terrific job as the DJ for our wedding. He was very approachable, thoughtful, communicative and considerate throughout the whole process. He was very intent on making sure we were getting what we wanted. Minus some dance songs, the music we used mostly at our wedding was classical. It helped that he was knowledgeable in this department (as some DJs I spoke with previously didn't even own any classical). On our wedding day, we had a few hiccups in music. In one of the CDs I provided that I wanted Lloyd to play, I actually forgot to add a few of the songs I wanted. He came to me right before the wedding and calmly told me the incident and asked what would make suitable substitutions from what he had. Everything ended up working out and the wedding was great. Lloyd was also quite considerate in his cost; enough that my low-budget wedding could afford his services. It turned out so great that many probably didn't know it was a low-budget wedding Llloyd also brought a microphone and cord which eliminated the hassle of us having to rent one for the officiant to use in the ceremony. I highly recommend Lloyd for the use of anyone's wedding or other event. I give him a genuine 5 stars!

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

as DJ I "read the room" and plan my repertiore in advance, thius able to bring a present time response to whatever music is needed. At a recent wedding I provided music for pre-ceremony, outdoors processional, dinner music, and dance reception tunes that really delivered. Same for parties, not overwhelming the space or intention but serving what can elevate the event.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be sure to feel some kind of personal connection to whomever you hire — should be a personal interaction so that mutual satisfaction is insured in advance.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

As the world's leading authority on music for movement and dance as well as healing and connection, I have a life-long immersion in music, from the record stores in Colorado in the '70's to Backroads Music, the world's leading distributor of world, chill, new age, healing arts and yoga, chant & vocal and dance music and now as host of a monthly dance and ongoing provider of music for many events. My CD collection defies description and I draw from every style in creating my spontaneous mixes that are guaranteed to please!
