Introduction: I am a graduate of the music program at SFSU with teaching as my focus for the past 10 years. Everybody learns differently at their own pace so it's most important, as a teacher, to possess the ability to approach a concept 5 different ways. This gives me patience to work with skill development at a variety of levels. I challenge myself to learn new instruments; whether it's the guitar, voice, mandolin, piano, or clarinet, I am constantly humbled by the learning process. My fulfillment comes from unlocking the potential joy and musical connection that may otherwise have gone undiscovered. Music brings us together, and is the most effective outlet for the brain while managing the stresses of life and work.

Guitar Lessons (for adults)

Cameron came to where I was and brought a variety of his guitars to see which one best fit me. He also came to the music store to help me pick out a guitar. All that and he comes to you to teach the lessons. He is very laid back and patient and goes at your pace. Willing to fit a lesson into your schedule.

Music Entertainment

Cameron brought great music and ambiance to our party! He is a fantastic musician and easy going. He did an impromptu jam session with one of our guests who had brought his guitar and banjo. If you want to have some live music at your party, do not look further! He also sings if you want to or makes wonderful background music. Bigger party, no problem either. Leave it to Cameron!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My sessions last between 1-2 hours. I've found 30-45mins once a week just isn't enough time to work through concepts and material.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Get a feel for how you're inspired, your personality, and what you'd like to be able to play! There are so many routes to take with the guitar, it's helpful to narrow it down. If you have no idea, there's plenty of things I can show you and we see what you're most interested in.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I've been fortunate to study with many great teachers through the university level at SFSU, and play with a diverse range of musicians in many different styles. I want you to have a similar understanding of general music and the guitar in order to create what you'd like with confidence and success.
