I hired Anna to represent me for a felony and misdemeanor arrest after I had consulted with two other attorneys. Anna appeared to be very competent and knowledgeable with how the District Attorney's (DA) office and the City Attorney's (CA) office would pursue the case based off of her past experience working as the deputy district attorney. Her experience as a former prosecutor put a great deal of confidence in me that she would be the most competent attorney that I could hire for my particular case. Since I had a prior felony conviction, I could not run the risk of a second felony conviction based off of false accusations.
Although our judicial system is supposed to operate under the premise "innocent until proven guilty," I know better than to take a passive approach to prove out my innocence. My approach was to hire what I considered to be the most aggressive, experienced, and competent attorney.
Anna's initial meeting with me was on the Labor Day Holiday which exhibited to me her dedication to providing me with the best legal counsel available for my case. My case endured a long wait since my arrest occurred at the end of August but no charges were filed for over four months. The only thing that helped me endure the wait was weekly communication with Anna on the status of my case as she would always respond back to my emails or calls within the same day. She kept in constant contact with the City Attorney's (CA) office and the District Attorney's (DA) office on the status of the police report. Her aggressive approach and communication with the two offices (DA & CA) finally led to the CA making a decision that no charges would be filed! I received this news from Anna on New Years eve day so I could not have experienced a happier new year.
Once again, I believe that Anna's past experience as a prosecutor for the city played a role in the most favorable outcome a client can receive after being arrested for felony and misdemeanor charges.
Since I initially felt that the charges were bogus and that my innocence would eventually clear me from the charges, I am glad that my better judgment kicked in and I hired an aggressive, experienced, and competent attorney in Anna Yum.

I was in need of assistance with a misdemeanor charge and was referred to Anna R. Yum through a common friend who also happens to be an attorney.
In fact, I had previously referred her to a friend with a similar need and they couldn't speak any better of her professionalism and service.
Once she got the ball rolling for me it became instantly clear she was a great fit for me as she is well versed in the law and took the time to thoroughly go over my options.

Anna Yum is one of the lawyers anyone would be lucky to have on their side. Not only does she have a profound knowledge in criminal law, she has a very deep humanistic understanding of each client she works with including myself. She is nonjudgmental, hardworking, and especially fearsome in the court. These are the qualities that should be expected in any lawyer. She went above and beyond for my case and gave me the results that I wanted and needed. My son is over 2000 miles away from me and had an encounter with a DUI charge. As I looked on the internet in search of an attorney, Ms. Yum caught my attention. Her background experience made me feel good about her handling my son's case.
Even though I was not able to meet with her physically, our phone conversations made me feel really good. As a mother, you always want to make sure that your children are taken care of and trust me I knew without a doubt that he was in great hands with Ms. Yum!
