We had our first session with Shannen yesterday. We adopted our pup at the end of December. She was physically abused and recently had a puppies. She is a super sweet dog and very loving. Indoors, she’s very well behaved. However, once we cross that threshold and try to take her on a walk, it was a complete nightmare! She is a VERY strong dog and has been pulling on leash. When she sees another dog, she has become very aggressive and anxious. After just ONE session with Shannen, we’re already seeing HUGE changes! She gave us some reading material and we spoke a few times about our needs and we decided to meet with her. She was extremely professional and very knowledgeable. We were blown away! We went on a walk with her and she gave us some homework. After just ONE day of homework, we’re seeing HUGE changes! We’ve used the tools that she provided and we practiced them. I’m really excited to see her growth as we continue to work with Shannen.

We purchased 3 sessions with Shannen, and she was wonderful! My golden retriever is super energetic and jumpy, but he’s already made great progress since Shannen taught us some techniques to work on. She was also super flexible when we needed to reschedule. We’d definitely work with Shannen again in the future!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I’ve worked professionally with dogs for the past 11 years with experience in dog grooming, pet care, and veterinary technology. I always knew I wanted to work with dogs since I was little, I just didn’t know where I belonged quite yet in the pet world. I decided to take a shot at dog training 5 years ago and instantly fell in love with the line of work. I dedicated the following years to getting hands on practice and education in the field, and developed an even deeper passion for dogs than I ever could have imagined!
