I had a couple years of guitar experience before starting lessons with Bryson to help address any bad habits I might have picked up. It's been really useful! A typical lesson will involve a mix of jamming (with Bryson on the drums), discussing possible improvements in technique and the structure of the jam, and going over various pieces of music theory (scales, key signatures, sight reading, etc.). It covers skills needed to be a good guitarist and a good musician in general. Also, Bryson has been very responsive over email and text messaging, which is nice.

Details: 26 - 44 years old • 0 - 2 yrs of formal training • Yes, can read music staff • Electric • Rock • Blues • Jazz • Folk • Yes, the student has an instrument • 60 minutes • At the pro’s location

Bryson is an outstanding teacher ! I have been playing for a little over a year on my own through watching YouTube videos etc, and my first guitar lesson with Bryson I learned more in an hour than I learned on my own for a whole year . He gets to the point and works at your pace ! Super patient , and lessons are fun. I highly recommended.

Details: 18 - 25 years old • No formal training; some self-taught experience • Yes, can read guitar tabs • Electric • Rock • Blues • Yes, the student has an instrument • 60 minutes • At the pro’s location

I started learning to play guitar in April of this year. I used guitar apps and YouTube to learn. Although, these were decent resources, they are not tailored to individual needs. Bryson has helped bridge the gap between theory and practicality. There is no substitute with playing and learning from another musician in person. He makes learning enjoyable and builds your confidence by actually teaching you to play and perfect your favorite songs. I highly recommend him and look forward to each lesson.

I wanted to sign my husband up for guitar lessons for Father's Day and I am so happy I found MadChair. He enjoyed the lessons so much and is going to continue them. He is excited to go every week and his playing has improved. He says he learns so much every week and also enjoys the instructor since he has a vast amount of knowledge and diverse musical taste. I highly recommend MadChair. The studio is open but he offers virtual lessons as well.
