Introduction: I am a trained professional music teacher with a Bachelor of Arts in both elementary and secondary music education. Taught both public school and privately for more than 30 years. Both a professional flutist with over 40 years experience and a concert pianist having performed both as an ensemble pianist and solosit with "Presto", a master level peformance organization. Rick has been teaching piano to my two boys for 10 years. He is the most amazing teacher. Dedication, patience, kindness, and professionalism are the words I'd use to describe Rick. He does, however, expect his students to practice (that's a good thing!)

i have taken lessons from Rick for 5 years. I had played the piano as a child, but it had been many years since I had played and I didn't know how to get back to playing and enjoying the piano. Rick assessed my level and started me on a program that enabled me to get back to playing and to improve rapidly. I highly recommend him to both beginners and anyone looking to get back to playing and improve. He is always on time and prepared for lessons with suggestions on pieces to learn in different genres.

My 10 year old son, Jaden, has been taking piano lessons from Rick for going on two months now. His lessons are once per week and he absolutely LOVES it! Rick is an amazing teacher. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on the level of the flutist or piano student. Beginning students I start off as half hour lessons and increase at higher levels. Please ask.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Discuss musical experience to decide on level of study and books needed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have spent over fifteen years at Mesa College as an ensemble player. I have been conductor and assistant conductor for Kearney Mesa Band, Hillcrest Wid Ensemble and the Puget Sound Band of Seattle. I have been a recitalist both on flute and piano in San Diego and abroad and recently perform and record live in concert as solo pianist for "Presto"
