- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my bachelors in psychology and my masters in counseling. My education has taught me to really connect with my clients on a personal level. Some documents that need to be notarized are very personal and sensitive. It’s important to read you client and the room.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started only notarizing loan documents about 15 years ago. A friend in the mortgage business recommended that I try being a notary. I did it on the side for extra cash and 4 years ago starting doing it full time. I now do a lot of Estate planning and Real estate documents. I even go to hospitals and jails to notarize.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently helped a 95 year old women update her Trust. She was sharp as a tack and I really enjoyed getting to know her. She was so appreciative of me being able to accommodate her in the comfort of her home.
