- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I believe in continuing education for every professional. As a psychologist, we are all required to commit to about 25 hours of continuing education per year. I complete nearly 100 hours per year, because there are som many things to learn. I am also on the Continuing Education Committee of the San Diego Psychological Association.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Whenever you're looking for a therapist, look to see if the professional specializes in the issues that you would like help with. Psychologists are bound by their ethical code to treat only those issues they feel competent to treat. Each profession (psychologist, marriage and family therapists, clinical social workers, psychiatrists, etc) must abide by specific code of ethics for that profession.
